Good news for all the Indian students who dream to study in the U.K but drop their plan due to less period of stay back and no post-study work opportunity. The government of United Kingdom with the objective of expanding large amount of opportunities for Indian students has increased the number of years of stay back from 6 months to 2 years.
The second most chosen country for overseas education after the USA is the United Kingdom. UK’s institutions are globally known for their quality of education. Along with education, now UK provides with the premium stay back opportunities and high paid placement. Students majorly prefer UK over any other country for their higher education as UK degree opens doors worldwide. Many international students who wish to study in the UK for their higher education also wish to stay back as well but in the year 2012, Theresa Mary scrapped the post-work visa scheme. But finally in the year 2019, the government of U.K has announced 2 years of post-study work visa from next year. Now Indian students with their talent can build their successful career in the U.K.
Sanam Arora, founder and president of the London-based National Indian Students and Alumni Union of UK (NISAU), said that Indian students would benefit from that policy the most, welcomed the announcement on the returning of post-study work visas that will be unrestricted and allow graduates to apply for jobs irrespective of their skills or subject.
Gavin Williamson, the UK education secretary, said: “The important contribution international students make to our country and universities are both cultural and economic. Their presence benefits Britain, which is why we’ve increased the period of time these students can remain in the UK after their studies”.
Students who are entering in the U.K in 2020-21, will be eligible to stay after the completion of their education in U.K for 2 years. There are many career opportunities available.
